Fortified by the success of the first edition, the second edition of the festival organized by Teatro Stabile di Napoli and Teatro Nazionale e del Parco Archeologico di Pompei, POMPEII THEATRUM MUNDI, will start next June 21 until July 21, at Pompeii Teatro Grande.
A four-year-long project designed for Teatro Grande, in the most important archeological site in the world, Pompeii, which is part of the wide program for the promotion of this archeological park.
In the fascinating atmosphere of the site, on the stage of the theatre dating back to the II century BC, four major classical dramas will be played; for three of them, it will be the world premier: Oedipus by Robert Wilson, Non solo Medea by the choreographers Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten, Salomè by Luca De Fusco and, from Siracusa, Eracle by Emma Dante.
